Are you passionate about supporting Rangatahi (youth) on their journey to independence and well-being? Culturally responsive and able to build positive relationships with Rangatahi. Fantastic, then this is the job for you! 

We are seeking positive, flexible, and compassionate individuals to join our Learning Support Team to provide wrap-around support for learners.  Walking alongside our Rangatahi, you will have the ability to build strong relationships that foster trust and rapport.  With the ability to create a safe and empowering environment, educating, assisting, and encouraging learners towards independence. 

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Helping our Rangatahi engage with their learning in the classroom and/or through personalised programmes. 
  • Providing physical interventions and personal care that aim to promote independence and well-being. 
  • Daily support aligned with learner goals, support plans, risk management strategies, and safety plans.
  • Improving life skills and behavioural support that reduces antisocial behaviour. 
  • And ensure that records are accurately documented and reported promptly.

Ideally, applicants must be learner-centred and excited about working in a collaborative, flexible, responsive learning environment.  Has the ability to demonstrate empathy, be adaptable, and work well as part of a team, with basic computer skills.  A preference for applicants with work experience with young people or in a community support position is advantageous.
