Learning Support Administrator

Are you an organised empathetic administrator looking for a rewarding role supporting young people’s education?

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Administrator to provide accurate, responsive, and learner-centered administrative support to our Learning Support team.

In this role, you will drive the day to day co-ordination of our support systems—coordinating meetings, tracking specialized equipment, managing transport arrangements, and facilitating Special Assessment Conditions (SAC) for our learners. You will play a vital role in keeping communications smooth between our staff, learners, whānau, and external agencies.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role. Prior experience in a school environment or familiarity with Student Management Systems (KAMAR) and Google Workspace is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a calm, professional and culturally responsive manner.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and manage frequent interruptions smoothly.
  • A warm, approachable approach with an ability to build strong connections with staff, volunteers, external specialists and whanau.
  • Absolute respect for privacy, confidentiality and child safety policies.

At Rolleston College we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment where every learner is supported to thrive. You will join a collaborative, student-centred team that values your contribution to making learning accessible for all.

This is a fixed term, part-time, term-time-only position of 17.5 hours per week commencing 28th January 2027 and concluding 16th December 2027. Depending on qualifications, skills and experience, we have this role banded at Grade 3 of the Admin Matrix in the Support Staff Collective Agreement.
